By Rossi Voss | October 20, 2025
You’re not alone if you’ve ever:
- Googled “food near me” at 7 PM
- Stared into your pantry and seen nothing to eat
- Wanted to cook more but didn’t know where to start
But what if you could eat well for a full month — using just 10 pantry staples and one pot?
Welcome to the 1-Month Pantry Power Plan — a simple, beginner-friendly system to stop takeout and start cooking.
No fancy ingredients. No stress. Just real food, one pot at a time.
🛒 The 10 Pantry Staples You Need
These are the foundation of every meal in this plan:
- Dried lentils or beans – High-protein, affordable, long shelf life
- Brown rice or quinoa – Filling, fiber-rich, reheats well
- Canned tomatoes or broth – For flavor and liquid in one-pot meals
- Onions, garlic, frozen veggies – Always ready, no chopping needed
- Spices (cumin, paprika, turmeric) – Turn simple ingredients into something delicious
- Black beans (canned or dried) – Great for tacos, bowls, scrambles
- Steel-cut oats – Perfect for breakfast or porridge
- Olive oil or avocado oil – For sautéing and flavor
- Coconut milk (canned) – Creamy base for curries and stews
- Shawarma or Black Garlic Sauce – Instant flavor boost (from my 90 Shawarma Sauce Recipes book)
