The Perfect Instant Pot Thanksgiving Turkey

Serves: 6–8 | Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 35 mins

  • 1 whole turkey (6–7 lbs), fresh or thoroughly thawed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp dried sage
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 1 cup chicken or turkey broth
  1. Remove giblets and neck from turkey cavity. Pat turkey dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine salt, pepper, and herbs. Rub turkey inside and out with oil, then with herb mixture.
  3. Place onion, garlic, and lemon in the turkey cavity.
  4. Pour broth into Instant Pot. Place turkey on trivet, breast-side up.
